Fort Walton Beach Man Dies in Collision On Highway 98

Fort Walton Beach, Florida - The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that a 76-year-old, Fort Walton Beach man died Thursday from injuries suffered in a collision on Highway 98. The FHP report states that the man failed to notice that a freight truck had slowed to make a right turn, and the man suffered severe injuries when his vehicle, a 2008 Volvo, struck the rear of the truck. The man was transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. 

The driver of the truck was uninjured, and no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
