We generally recommend that you contact an attorney as early as possible in the process. For example, a lot of clients don't know where they should get treatment or how they're going to get treatment. Who's going to pay for their medical bills? An attorney can advise you on those types of things. The next thing is the insurance companies may be contacting you, asking you to give a statement, and we generally recommend that you do not provide a statement, because that may be used against you later. You should not provide a statement until you've had the advice and consult of an attorney first.
