You do not need to know your exact earnings history to file for disability. However, if you really want to know your reported earnings history you can request a copy of your Social Security earnings history from the Social Security Administration (SSA).\u00a0 Up until just recently, you could do so by filing a Form SSA-7004 (Request for Social Security Statement). In light of the current budget situation, however, SSA has suspended the Request a Social Security Statement service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new way of obtaining your \u201cgreen form\u201d statement is to sign up and get your Social Security Statement<\/em> online<\/a>. You can use a my Social Security online account<\/em> to get your Social Security Statement, to review:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
