Florida Highway Patrol Searching For Hit-And-Run Driver

Walton County, Florida – An accident occurred early Tuesday morning on Highway 98 in Destin, near East Hewitt Road. According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the collision occurred when the driver of a gold Toyota Scion XB, attempting to make a left turn across the westbound lanes, was struck by another vehicle. The at-fault driver of the Toyota Scion left the scene of the accident, and FHP has asked for anyone who has information relating to the crash to contact Trooper Joseph Adkins at 850-484-5000. The Gold Toyota Scion is believed to be a 2004 to 2006 model, with substantial damage to the passenger side doors and windows.
