Oakland Park, Florida – The 25-year-old driver of an SUV was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on Interstate 95, and his female passenger was transported to Holy Cross Hospital. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a box truck was traveling southbound when one of its front tires came loose, bounced over a barricade, and into northbound traffic, smashing the roof of the SUV. The accident occurred at around 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, near Commercial Boulevard. FHP troopers shut down northbound lanes while the accident was being investigated. As of the date of this post, charges have not been filed.
