Pensacola, Florida –A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at around 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday night. The accident occurred on Fairfield Drive, and the pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was taken to Baptist Hospital. No additional injuries were reported. According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there have been 3 pedestrian fatalities in Escambia County so far this year, and the county averages just over 12 pedestrian fatalities a year over the past 5 years.
