Santa Rosa County, Florida – The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is searching for the driver of a black Chevrolet sedan who left the scene of an accident on Highway 98. The accident occurred near Sound Hammock Drive, at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday night. No injuries have been reported. According to the FHP’s press release, the at-fault driver changed seats with his female passenger, who asked the victim not to report the accident because the driver would go to jail. She then proceeded to drive away. The at-fault driver is reported to be a white male in his 20s, with a heavier build, long blond hair, a beard, and the word “way” is tattooed on his chest.
The FHP has asked anyone with information related to the accident to contact the Florida Highway Patrol (850-484-5000) or Santa Rosa Crime Stoppers (850-437-STOP).
